"Our House - In the Middle of Our Street" Our roughly 650 sq foot Ripple Home embodies the fusion of contemporary and traditional architectural styling found in California. We have taken an old idea, added a dash of modern aesthetic appeal and split it into two pieces - forming a staggered dwelling surrounded by a 600 sq foot deck (almost as large as the home itself). As you enter, a large living room and kitchen mingle together while the private bedroom is hidden in the adjacent north module. A large bathroom is positioned in the transitional space - allowing easy access from any part of the home. Stepping over the Line At the home entrance is a retractable Nana Wall - eight feet of highly insulating glass that is both a wall and a window. The Nana Wall can be completely folded away, allowing the living room to peacefully melt into the trellised lounge area of the sunny-side, south porch. In addition to shading large family get-togethers that spill from the house to the yard, the trellis reduces direct sunlight and heat entering the house through the many south-facing windows. The deck is wheelchair accessible and has a second comfortable lounge area on the north porch. From there it is an easy walk to the sheltered bike rack for a healthy jaunt or an eco-friendly trip to the store.

Blurring the boundary between the indoors and outdoors allows us to extend functional living spaces which embody the unique outdoorsy spirit of Northern California - and its 300 days of sunshine a year.
